2019 Greeley Stampede
The Greeley Stampede, Colorado’s premier western summer celebration, runs June 26 through July 7 at Island Grove Park. From a rodeo and concerts to children’s activities and fireworks, there really is something for everyone at the Stampede. Purchase your tickets today, as they go quickly every year!
Bike to Work Day
June 26 is Bike to Work Day in Colorado and we’re here to celebrate bicycling for transportation, fun, and health. Those interested in participating can stop by breakfast stations in Greeley, Windsor, or Evans. More details about specific locations will be coming soon.
Every Friday from June through September is Friday Fest in downtown Greeley. This kid-friendly event features street performers, fire spinners, face painting, and more fun activities for the little ones. Don’t worry, adults, there’s plenty for you to enjoy as well! Check out the impressive concert lineup and be sure to take advantage of the “Go-Cup” drink service until 10 p.m.
Independence Day Parade
They don’t call it the largest Fourth of July parade west of the Mississippi for nothing! Tens of thousands of spectators stop by 10th Avenue between 19th and 5th Streets every Independence Day for this incredible celebration. Those in attendance will be treated to floats, bands, and equestrian entries from all over the state. The parade begins at 9 a.m. on the University of Northern Colorado campus.
Full Moon Bike Ride
Have you ever wanted to ride the Poudre River Trail after dark? Well here’s your chance? The Full Moon Bike Ride takes place July 16 at 8 p.m. and is the only time the trail is open after dark. Keep in mind that all riders must have helmets and bike lights, while riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
This year marks the 41st anniversary of the popular Greeley Arts Picnic. Be one of the thousands in attendance to shop from over 150 artists’ booths selling pottery, paintings, soaps, sculptures, and much more. Then chow down on delicious cuisine from around the world including French, Greek, Mexican, and Italian dishes. The Arts Picnic also features plenty of kid-friendly activities and performances from some of Colorado’s best entertainers. Join family, friends, and fellow Greeley residents July 27 at Lincoln Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monster Day Greeley
The third annual Monster Day Greeley takes place August 17 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Greeley. This family-friendly event provides dozens of photo opportunities with characters created by Distortions Unlimited. There’s also music, entertainment, face painting, a costume contest, lots of food, and of course, Greeley the Gremlin!
